cache/wst.opf.2600192.xml

For just $ 7 per month for 12 months (or $84 annually), you can "Stop the Cycle of Poverty" for one AIDS Orphaned child for an entire year!

An AIDS orphan is defined as a child who has lost one or both of their parents to HIV/AIDS.  Over 17 million orphans globally have been left behind, broken and abandoned in the wake of the 30 million deaths due to HIV/AIDS today.

Watch and learn...

Nehemiah’s Restoration is helping to “Stop the Cycle of Poverty” by liberating orphans from the hopelessness left them from the untimely death of their parents.  Through the use of our seven point program, these orphaned children are being kept off the streets, out of orphanages and supported in their extended-families homes in the most heavily HIV affected areas of the world.

The project known as AIDSOrphan712 identifies eligible children to receive:

There are over 18 million orphaned and vulnerable children in our world today due to HIV/AIDS.  Many of them live without anyone to provide for their many needs, while others have caregivers who simply can't provide for them adequately.  "Project Book Bag" is a sustainable solution to the long-term problem of poverty these children and their caregivers face every day.  By purchasing this beautifully handcrafted  "Book Bag" you are helping to maintain a small business that provides a modest income for an AIDS Orphaned family.  "Project Book Bag" is just one part of "Seven Essential Services" provided through our program called AIDSOrphan712.

Many caregivers are able to handcraft jewelry, paint, sew garments or make other items of utility, but have no funds to finance their efforts and find little to no marketplace to sell their products locally.  To solve this problem, the partnership of Nehemiah's Restoration and Nazarene Compassionate Organization (NCO) has developed the resources for these indigence people to engage in an international business.

The Book Bags of Project Book Bag are a cooperative effort starting with NCO personnel recruiting widows and orphans in need and teaching them the craftsmanship of materials purchasing, sewing, artistic painting and needle work.  The bag materials are purchased through the funding of Nehemiah's Restoration, then an income is provided for each person involved in the construction of the bag.  Nehemiah's Restoration then ships the bags to the United States and sells them for the total cost of its production and processing.

The following are stories of those lives being changed by this project.

My name is Jenipher.  I live in a village many miles from Kisumu, Kenya.  I lost my husband in 2002 as a result of HIV and AIDS. We had twelve children together of whom only three are still alive today.  I am also HIV positive! Making these Book Bags helps me to provide an income for my two children.  Though I am living with HIV and AIDS, through the help of Nehemiah’s Restoration, I am learning to be a good role model in my community by showing people you can live a positive life with this disease.  Thank you for supporting my family by purchasing a Book Bag.  I hope you enjoy it!

My name is Hellen.  My mother died of HIV and AIDS when I was 5 years old.  My father who is also HIV positive left me behind, because he could not support me. Through the help of Nehemiah's Restoration and Nazarene Compassionate Organization.  I was connected with my current family.  I love working on "Project Book Bag", because it helps me to pay for my secondary school tuition.  I hope to further my education to a higher level of studies through this project and one day have a small business of my own.  This way I can support myself and other children like me. God bless you for supporting me by buying this book bag.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

My name is Mary.  My husband and I are the caregivers to 4 orphaned children (ages 10, 12, 14 and 14) who lost their parents as a result of HIV and AIDS.   My husband and I are both HIV positive.  We farm our land, but it is not enough to provide for all of us.  That is why I am involved in "Project Book Bag", because it helps me to provide additional income for our extended family children under our care.  Praise God for this blessing!  Thank you for supporting us and our extended family by purchasing this Book Bag.  I hope you enjoy it!

STOP the Cycle of Poverty by providing a safe home for AIDS orphaned children living with their extended-family.

     $1,800.00 builds a new home!

As part of our ongoing effort to meet the many critical needs of AIDS orphaned children around the world; Nehemiah’s Restoration, in coordination with Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, Inc. (NCMI), is assisting the extended-families of AIDS orphaned children by replacing beyond repair grass-roof homes with new modern metal roofed homes.

During the long cold African rainy seasons, these beyond repair grass-roof homes are the cause of many types of respiratory illnesses, related diseases and even death.  Most always when the home becomes wet inside it never drys out until the rainy season ends months later!

For $1,800.00 a new three room home like the one pictured above (with an outdoor latrine), can be built through the cooperation of the local community.  These projects are designed to assist the extended-family by employing local labor to build the stick structure of the home, while using short-term international mission groups and community volunteers to assist in the installation of the mud walls, doors and windows.  In addition, in order to bring better health to the community, an outdoor latrine is built to help stop contamination to the local surface water in the community.

These projects not only provide for a safe and efficient home for the additional orphaned children in their extended-family, but it also provides an opportunity for internationals’ to personally engage and care for the people of these impoverished communities!  You can experience what these three people did during our latest Build A Home project!

For all the same cost you can feed the recipient family, their employed labors and community volunteers in a joyful celebration, as we move the recipient family into their new home!

Will you please help build a new home for AIDS orphaned children, so they can live in a safe and healthy environment?

    AIDSOrphan712VIDEOProject

Nehemiah’s Restoration is on the crest of a groundbreaking journey in the cause to bring international awareness to the devastation HIV/AIDS is leaving on 17 million orphaned children in our world today!

Through the use of video and social media, Nehemiah's Restoration is embarking on a project that could potentially empower millions of people globally with the ability to restore the lives of these 17 million AIDS Orphans.  However, in order to reach all 17 million children with our AIDSOrphan712 project, Nehemiah's Restoration must raise the funds needed to produce a video that has the potential of traveling virally on any number of social media networks available to us today!

The project called, AIDSOrphan712VIDEOProject will capture a real-life story of how a family struggles to survive when the last remaining parent is dying of AIDS and reveal the horrible devastation it leaves behind on the children after they have lost both their parents to this disease.

This video project will cost approximately $25,000.00 and several months to produce
    !

Will you please help us produce this video project, so we can engage millions of people to help these children who are in desperate need of assistance?

STOP the Cycle of Poverty by providing Safe Houses for young people enslaved by sex trafficking and prostitution..

    SAFEHouse2012
To date, there are over 32 million people enslaved around the world and out of that number 80% of the victims are forced into sexual servitude.  In the United States it is estimated that 50-75,000 victims are trafficked into America for sexual servitude and that is not factoring the 100,000-300,000 American children forced into prostitution under our noses.  This is not just a minor issue taking place.  In short, human sex trafficking is the illegal trade in human beings through abduction, the use of threat or force, deception, fraud, or sale for the purpose of forced labor and or commercial sex. Trafficking also applies to people who are held against their will to pay off a debt—otherwise known as debt bondage or peonage.  These types of practices thrust people into a Cycle of Poverty that constrains them to the very activity they were forced into performing initially.

    So what can you do?

Nehemiah's Restoration is helping to construct Safe Houses in a project called SAFEHouse2012 for victims that are hardest effected by this horrific crime in the region of Southeast Asia!  Safe Houses are the primary place a victim can receive safety and assistance for long-term recovery from forced trafficking and prostitution.  Our goal is to develop environments (Safe Houses) where people enslaved by sex-trafficking and prostitution can be restored mentally, physically and spiritually by providing:
    1. psychological counseling
    2. healthcare for sexually transmitted diseases
    3. vocational training
    4. relocation assistance
    5. spiritual guidance
But we cannot do this alone!

You can help now, by donating funds to develop these desperately needed Safe Houses!  Together we can "STOP the Cycle of Poverty" for these abused young people!

STOP the Cycle of Poverty by supplying deep water wells for uncontaminated food sources in developing countries

    DEEPWater1012
The lack of safe drinking water is the primary cause of disease in the world today.  Every day, tens of thousands of people die from causes directly related to contaminated water.  For those who survive, without good health, there is little chance for a normal and productive life.  A surprising statistic to many is that contaminated water causes 80% of the health problems throughout the world.  Much of the reason is because in rural areas of developing countries, the only water source for people to wash with and drink from is often a badly polluted shallow well (less than 10 feet deep) or mud-holes used by both animals and humans.  In those areas where there’s actually a stream or river, they’re often polluted as well, because animal and human wastes are emptied directly into it without proper treatment.  Chronic sickness and disease are some of the leading causes of the Cycle of Poverty among people in developing countries without safe drinking water.

Nehemiah's Restoration is helping to drill Deep Water Wells in a project called DEEPWater1012 for developing countries around the globe.  These Deep Water Wells are the primary solution in bringing safe drinking water to the people of these countries.  But in order to drill a Deep Water Well, finances must be secured for drilling equipment and materials.  The cost to drill Deep Water Wells vary and can cost anywhere from $5,000 to $20,000 depending on how deep the well must be drilled.

    So what can you do?

You can help now, by donating funds to purchase the equipment and materials needed to drill these Deep Water Wells!  Together we can "STOP the Cycle of Poverty" for the sick and diseased people of our world!
